Some better

Can they all be "favorites? Merchandising special creations can be tough. After searching for suitable props, and rounding up the family photog, I'm really excited to start posting great quality pics.

So the sick isn't all bad . . .

I tried to be productive for the past week in between LOTS of sleep. I crafted this set up a few flowers at a time, and stringing a few beads at a time. I'm quite happy with it.

Yucky Pneumonia

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Not much going on here except a well-medicated self proclaimed crafter.

I'm feeling guilty for not getting anything crafty done. I have been napping/sleeping for three days. I fell asleep kneading some poly clay yesterday. Laughable today when I got excited about getting dressed, then promptly sat down and took a nap. LOL

Nope. Nothing much is happening here until I get better.

Everything's Rosy

The crafty think tank is transforming into a rose garden. Lots of roses!

Made with lots of delicate handcrafted love and not a single thorn!

Roses of all colors!

Whats new? Here's whats new!

New from the living breathing craft studio!

Spring - We have lots of new poly clay designs in the making. Roses are a hot theme. The daffodils not so much. Although I love Daffs, they present a problem for jewelry making in 3D. Think large and big, the never look good 2D or flattened. So if you like large and big, I may have a few Daffodils for you.

Steampunk - Working on some great new sprocket-critters for jewelry and wall art. Moving parts intrigue my simple mind, so I'm including craft time for Steam.

Coming up in April - Sharing some vintage space in Atlanta with Professor Ravens from the Curiosity Emporium.

More Steampunk!

Started building another set of ornaments. Here is my polyclay punked up snowman!

He's not done yet, he needs some arms, a watch hand nose, and small screws for eyes.
He'll be a rocking addition to the tree this year.

Mosaic Madness

My next "I want to make" project involves a bowling ball. It also involves tile, adhesive and grout. I want a garden orb to look over my garden weeds.

Several friends and I gather monthly to craft. We work on all kinds of stuff. Kristen is our resident Mosaic guru with the best organized craft space I have personally walked into. I'll be picking her brain on this! Where my mosaics to date have been either stepping stones, or small rocks glued to frames, Kristen's designs are rockin!

So, another crafting cohort gave me a broken bowling ball.
(WTH - how do you break a bowling ball?)
Do you see it? I need to fill that gash, and then fill the finger holes. I'm conjuring up designs in my feeble little head and trying to put them on paper for this project.

My mosaic tiles will consist of glass, a few old loved dishes that chipped during their lifetime and polyclay tiles I will be making just for this project.

Here are some inspiration projects from others:

Pretty aren't they! I'll update this as work progresses!
